Baseball Recap: Bishop McDevitt Takes a Loss

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders came up short against the Conestoga Valley Buckskins on Friday, falling 10-1. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop McDevitt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Shroy, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Shroy's first of the season.

Bishop McDevitt's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Conestoga Valley, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McDevitt will face off against Lower Dauphin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Lower Dauphin's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Bishop McDevitt's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Conestoga Valley, they will square off against Donegal at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
