Allen extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 22-7. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Plano East Panthers. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

As for Plano East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12-2. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Plano East's part, Landon Leedy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits. That's the fewest hits Leedy has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Tristian Parker led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ricky Clemens, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Looking ahead, Allen will venture away from home to face off against Guyer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Plano East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
