Recap: Altamont Longhorns vs. Tabiona Tigers
The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Tabiona, falling 77-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Altamont in their matchups with Tabiona: they've now lost five in a row.
Tabiona was led to victory by Logan Rhoades and Gavin Rhoades. Rhoades scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Rhoades dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Rhoades scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lex Giles, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Altamont bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Tabiona, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Altamont won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Rich at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Rich focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday. Tabiona won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Tintic at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th.
