Seminole strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 28-24 W against the Bristow Pirates. The 28-point effort marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

It was another big night for Donavin Garfield, who threw for 359 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 108 yards. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Seminole's leading receiver Jay Ladd was Garfield's top target yet again, picking up 136 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Seminole didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mason Bennett and Garfield.

Bristow lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Mack Powell, who rushed for 49 yards and two scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Shane Bethel, who gained 77 total yards and a touchdown.

Seminole's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Bristow, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Seminole has already played their next game, a 63-28 defeat against Perkins-Tryon on the 10th. As for Bristow, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 21-18 loss against Mannford on the 10th.
