Basketball Game Preview: Culver Academies Eagles vs. Paw Paw Red Wolves

Having just played yesterday, the Culver Academies Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Paw Paw Red Wolves at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Culver Academies will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Culver Academies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 win over Marquette Catholic on Friday. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 16 points.

Meanwhile, Paw Paw entered their contest against Niles on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Paw Paw fell to Niles 65-61. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Red Wolves came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Vikings are ranked 188th).

Culver Academies' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Paw Paw, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-1.
