Recap: Burgettstown Blue Devils vs. Frazier Commodores

The Burgettstown Blue Devils won the last time they faced the Frazier Commodores, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Burgettstown blew past Frazier, posting a 72-44 win at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Burgettstown.

Frazier's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brock Alekson, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds. Alekson has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Whitehead, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Burgettstown pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Frazier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Burgettstown will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Cherry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Frazier, they will head out on the road to face off against Bethlehem Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Frazier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
