Football Recap: Mcclatchy's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

McClatchy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 42-21 to the Denair Coyotes. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Josiah Hutchison threw for 222 yards on only 17 passes. Jake Ferris was his top target, picking up 112 receiving yards and two scores. On the ground, Landon Moton rushed for 67 yards.

Denair got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Chavez out in front who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bryson Salazar was in the mix as well, providing the Coyotes with two TDs.

Having lost for the first time this season, McClatchy fell to 2-1. As for Denair, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

McClatchy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kennedy on the 19th. As for Denair, they will head out to face off against Pajaro Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
