Recap: Standley Lake Gators vs. Thomas Jefferson Spartans
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Standley Lake Gators, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 22-14 to Thomas Jefferson on Thursday. Standley Lake just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Despite the loss, Standley Lake still got an impressive performance from Boston Harris, who rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 47 yards and a touchdown.
It was another big night for Dimitri Haralambopoulos, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 32 yards and a touchdown. Jake Tapia and his 133 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Thomas Jefferson's win.
Standley Lake has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-1.
