Woburn Memorial came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Marblehead, but Sydney Faris wouldn't allow it. The Magicians came out on top against the Tanners by a score of 3-1 on Friday thanks in part to Faris, who had 17 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last 13 times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-11, 21-25, 25-18, 25-11.

The victory made it two in a row for Marblehead and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Woburn Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Marblehead will face off against Masconomet Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Woburn Memorial, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Reading Memorial on the 29th.
