Volleyball Game Preview: Cheney Blackhawks vs. Mead Panthers + How To Watch

Cheney hasn't had much luck against Mead recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blackhawks will square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cheney not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on East Valley with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Blackhawks in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Cheney walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Mead was able to grind out a solid win over Ferris on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-14, 25-13.

Cheney's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Mead, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Cheney might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Mead when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Blackhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
