Volleyball Recap: Burroughs Extends Winning Streak to Three

Burroughs entered their tilt with Paraclete on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Spirits by a score of 3-1.

While Burroughs might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Paraclete scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-27, 25-21, 25-23.

Lillah O'Grady went supernova, getting 18 digs and five aces. Those 18 digs gave her a new career-high.

O'Grady wasn't the only good server: Burroughs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Burroughs' record now sits at 3-0. As for Paraclete, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burroughs will challenge Barstow at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paraclete, they will square off against Mary Star of the Sea at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
