Soccer Recap: Sterling Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sterling can now relate to. They lost 7-1 to the Freeport Pretzels on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Sterling in their meetings with Freeport: they've now lost seven in a row.

Sterling's goal came courtesy of Illyana Moreno, which was the first she's scored this season.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Freeport, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Freeport, they will challenge Belvidere North at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
