Baseball Game Preview: Mission Bears vs. Washington Eagles

Mission is 0-10 against Washington since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Bears will host the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Mission has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mission is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They lost 11-1 to Soledad.

Mission saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Chiavarria, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Chiavarria's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Gridley.

Andrew Kim made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Drake Chaffin, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Mission's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.
