Baseball Game Preview: Dunlap Eagles vs. Washington Panthers

For the second straight game, Dunlap will face off against Washington. The Eagles will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dunlap will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Dunlap will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Washington, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Panthers on Monday.

Carter Lippens tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Dunlap's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brett Alkire, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Simon Malcolm was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Washington's loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8. As for Dunlap, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.
