Basketball Game Preview: Fuquay - Varina Bengals vs. Enloe Eagles + Official Tickets

The Fuquay - Varina Bengals will venture away from home to challenge the Enloe Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fuquay - Varina's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

While Fuquay - Varina didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They really took it to Athens Drive for the full four quarters, racking up an 87-54 victory. With the Bengals ahead 64-27 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Derek Desmarais was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 6-for-7 to rack up 19 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Abdou Diop, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Enloe lost to Southeast Raleigh at home by a 68-54 margin on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Fuquay - Varina's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.3 points over those games. As for Enloe, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Fuquay - Varina couldn't quite finish off Enloe in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 56-53. Can the Bengals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
