Basketball Recap: Saddle River Day Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Saddle River Day Rebels came up short against the Paul VI Eagles and fell 63-53. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

Saddle River Day has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Paul VI, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Saddle River Day will take on Emerson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Paul VI, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rumson-Fair Haven at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Paul VI's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
