Mountain View proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Lackawanna Trail Lions 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Josh Miller made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Lackawanna Trail, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mountain View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-4 loss against Hanover Area on the 18th. As for Lackawanna Trail, they will square off against Susquehanna at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
