Baseball Recap: Great Mills Takes a Loss

Great Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patuxent Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Great Mills' loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Patuxent, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Great Mills will square off against rival McDonough on Monday. Meanwhile, Patuxent is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Charles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
