Recap: Mountain Range Mustangs vs. Fairview Knights

The Mountain Range Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 77-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairview. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountain Range in their matchups with Fairview: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Mountain Range still got an impressive performance from Mataeo Jourdan, who scored 24 points. Jourdan has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Helsel, who scored 17 points.

Spencer Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fairview, scoring 35 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Bekkem Kritza was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Mountain Range's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Fairview, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Range will take on Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Prairie View is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against Fossil Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fossil Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairview in Colorado (Fossil Ridge is ranked 27th, while Fairview is ranked 106th).
