The Jones Trojans will head out to challenge the Southside Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jones is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Jones' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Pamlico County 4-0. Joseph Sanchez was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Southside was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Howard.

The win made it two in a row for Jones and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Southside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.

Jones came up short against Southside in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
