Basketball Recap: Tolman Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Mt. Pleasant

On Wednesday, Tolman faced Mt. Pleasant in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Tolman Tigers came out on top against the Mt. Pleasant Kilties by a score of 56-47. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-53 back in January.

Tolman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Hilaire led the charge by going 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. Hilaire also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Tolman is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 8-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nathan Borden, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 12 points.

Tolman's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Mt. Pleasant, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-11.
