Bethel is 8-2 against Fairfield since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Jaguars will face off against the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Bethel made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Richmond, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Oilers with a sharp 35-7 win on Monday. The Jaguars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Saniyah Gray was a standout: she scored four runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. Those seven stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Fjellman, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs.
Bethel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .902. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fairfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let Florin get on the board and left with a 25-0 victory two weeks ago. That looming 25-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this season.
Karli Robinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI.
In other batting news, Fairfield got a massive performance out of Kaya Lanzon, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That home run was Lanzon's first of the season. Claudia Lucero was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Bethel's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12-1. As for Fairfield, their record now sits at 4-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Bethel hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fairfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bethel suffered a grim 23-1 defeat to Fairfield in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
