Recap: Indio Rajahs vs. Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles
The Indio Rajahs stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They claimed a resounding 83-48 victory over Desert Hot Springs at home. The victory was nothing new for Indio as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Indio got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daven Thomas out in front who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Gonzalez, who scored 24 points.
Indio is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Desert Hot Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indio will take on Twentynine Palms at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Twentynine Palms will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while Indio is ranked 496th). As for Desert Hot Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yucca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Yucca Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
