You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Canyon's strategy against Pampa on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Harvesters out of the water with a 41-6 final score. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Harvesters recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Canyon can attribute much of their success to Bayler Schilling, who picked up 115 receiving yards and one touchdown. Schilling is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least 100 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Canyon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Breccan Crockett.

Canyon's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Pampa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon will host Hereford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Whitefaces' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pampa, they will welcome Randall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
