Recap: Bloomfield Bobcats vs. Grants Pirates
The Bloomfield Bobcats had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They strolled past Grants with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 47-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bloomfield also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Bloomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aliya Quintana out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyssea Mescal, who scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Grants, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Bloomfield will head out on the road to face off against Navajo Prep at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Navajo Prep is ranked ninth, while Bloomfield is ranked second). As for Grants, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hobbs at 2:00 p.m. on December 7th.
