Baseball Recap: Cape Coral Takes a Loss

Cape Coral lost against Ida Baker last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Seahawks lost 15-8 to the Bulldogs. The Seahawks just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Derek Hooker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kellen Englehart, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Cape Coral's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Ida Baker, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.

Cape Coral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ida Baker, they will be playing at home against Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Lightning at the right time seeing as the Lightning are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
