Soccer Game Preview: Fort Walton Beach vs. North Bay Haven Academy

The Fort Walton Beach Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Walton Beach is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Fort Walton Beach's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Niceville.

Brian Velazquez and D'Angelo Sanchez scored both of Fort Walton Beach's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, North Bay Haven Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to Booker T. Washington. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Wildcats are ranked first).

Fort Walton Beach has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those eight contests. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1.
