It was a good run, but Andrew Jackson Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. The match between them and the Cross Stingrays didn't end well, with the Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors falling 50-35. The Warriors were down 43-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Andrew Jackson Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kinslie Carson, who posted nine points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Carrigg, who earned 16 points.

Cross got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sydney Hollings out in front who put up 11 points along with seven assists and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Hollings a new career-high in blocks (two). Ryan Mayers was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Andrew Jackson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cross, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Andrew Jackson Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-31 loss against Patrick Henry Academy on the 11th. As for Cross, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-43 victory against Bridges Prep on the 13th.
