Basketball Recap: West Side Comes Up Short

West Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Immaculate Conception Lions 84-49. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Lions are ranked 59th).

West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Immaculate Conception, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.

Coming up, West Side will face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Side is facing Columbia at the right time seeing as Columbia is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Immaculate Conception, they will head out on the road to challenge Seton Hall Prep at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
