Baseball Recap: Williams Bay Takes a Loss

Williams Bay extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-12 in the process. They came up short against the Parkview Vikings, falling 9-2. As for Parkview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory they have posted against Williams Bay since April 21, 2018.

For Parkview's part, Louis Nath made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Nath was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Parkview is 3-1 when Nath posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-10 otherwise.

In other batting news, Mathias Treinen was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Parkview's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't). Christrian Hobon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
