It was a good run, but Washington County unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 20-9 to the Thomas Nelson Generals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-11 back in March.

Izzy Medley led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season. Marlee Tennill was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Washington County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Thomas Nelson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington County will welcome Fort Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas Nelson, they will be playing at home against North Hardin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
