Massachusetts High School Football Rankings

Who's up and who's down

You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. That and more in this week's report.

Movin on Up

Falmouth has been an offensive powerhouse for three straight weeks after the team lit up the scoreboard again last week. It took its contest against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional by a conclusive 46 - 22 score. Falmouth did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated. The success catapulted it 14 spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.

This Week's Big Showdown

On paper, the match between St. Sebastian's School (11th in the power rankings) and Buckingham Browne & Nichols (25th) looked as though it might be one of the more compelling ones, but things did not play out that way on the field. St. Sebastian's School enjoyed a cozy 23 - 3 win over Buckingham Browne & Nichols. The power rankings were completely indifferent to the match, so neither team moved up or down this week.
