De La Salle has gone a perfect 4-0 against Leo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Meteors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses dating back to last season for De La Salle and three for Leo.

De La Salle's last matchup with Fenwick could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Meteors were outmatched by the Friars and fell 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Meteors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Friars are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Leo's offense. They took a blow against St. Laurence on Saturday, falling 41-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

Leo now has a losing record of 2-3. As for De La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for De La Salle against Leo in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, as the squad secured a 48-6 victory. Do the Meteors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
