Basketball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont lost against Riverton back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fremont Silverwolves fell to the Riverton Silverwolves 62-57. Fremont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Fremont still got an impressive performance from Easton Duft, who went 11 for 18 on his way to 30 points and three steals. The contest was Duft's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Zach Hancock was another key player, putting up seven points.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Riverton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Fremont and Riverton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. Fremont (ranked 66th) will meet Davis (ranked second) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Riverton (ranked 41st) will meet Bingham (ranked eighth) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
