Basketball Game Preview: Nicolet Knights vs. Slinger Owls

Nicolet is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Slinger is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Nicolet Knights will host the Slinger Owls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Nicolet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Nicolet is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: West Allis Central, who was ranked 24th at the time (Nicolet was ranked seventh). Nicolet secured an 85-80 W over West Allis Central on Saturday.

Rashaad Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 of 22 on his way to 29 points along with five boards and three steals. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Meir Hayfort, who went 7 of 9 en route to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Slinger ended the year with a bang, routing Freedom 71-49 last Friday. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Slinger's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Nicolet, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
