Baseball Recap: Bald Knob Comes Up Short

If Bald Knob was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Augusta last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bald Knob Bulldogs took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Yellowjackets on Thursday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Gavin Mitsunaga was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with five RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bald Knob's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Clinton, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Bald Knob will head out to take on Atkins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perryville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
