Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Allie Mangum and Brooklyn Shirley Lead Payson to Victory

Payson came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Layton Lancers by a score of 2-0 on Friday.

Payson was led to victory by Brooklyn Shirley and Allie Mangum. Shirley had 17 assists, while Mangum had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mangum has posted over her last six games.

The win got Payson back to even at 3-3. As for Layton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Payson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Sky View on the 22nd. As for Layton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Delta on the 22nd.
