Baseball Game Preview: Oasis Christian Lions vs. Keswick Christian Crusaders

The Oasis Christian Lions will face off against the Keswick Christian Crusaders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Oasis Christian will be strutting in after a win while Keswick Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Oasis Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand City of Life Christian Academy a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Kason Zurowski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Zurowski was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he's stolen this season.

In other batting news, Michael Gonzalez was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one stolen base. Those RBI were his first of the season. Gabriel Dutheil was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Keswick Christian's offense. They lost 8-0 to Pinellas Park on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Crusaders were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Keswick Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Oasis Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
