Soccer Recap: Burnet Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Burnet managed to keep up with Northeast Early College until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Burnet Bulldogs came up short against the Northeast Early College Raiders, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the Raiders are ranked 153rd).

Burnet's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those four matchups. As for Northeast Early College, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Burnet has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Jarrell on the 28th. As for Northeast Early College, they will square off against Lago Vista at 7:30 p.m. on March 4th. Northeast Early College is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
