Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holy Cross). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Lindenwold Lions 45-12. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won four matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Holy Cross' victory came down to the chemistry between William Updike and his top target Anthony Dambrosio. Updike threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes while Dambrosio picked up 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Holy Cross didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Vincent D'Ambrosio, Bernie Wojtkowiak, and Emmanuel Doku picked up one apiece.

Holy Cross pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lindenwold, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Holy Cross will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bordentown at 6:00 p.m. on November 7th. Lindenwold does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
