Monte Vista has gone a perfect 4-0 against Bear Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Monte Vista Mustangs will challenge the Bear Creek Bruins at 11:00 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Wednesday, Monte Vista didn't have quite enough to beat Castro Valley and fell 5-4.

Monte Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Worth, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Anthony Capra, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek came up short against Hughson on Thursday and fell 5-2. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Monte Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Monte Vista took their win against Bear Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. Will Monte Vista repeat their success, or does Bear Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
