Football Game Preview: Marion County Red Raiders vs. Brilliant Tigers + How To Watch

Marion County is 9-1 against Brilliant since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Red Raiders will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Marion County has given up an average of 37 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Friday, Marion County took a blow against Hubbertville, falling 61-28.

Despite their loss, Marion County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Roman Bellamy, who picked up 45 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. The Red Raiders also got a significant boost from Samuel Taylor, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Meanwhile, Brilliant sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 30-28 victory over Phillips on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Marion County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Brilliant, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Marion County against Brilliant when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 39-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
