Soccer Recap: North Miami Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Miami can now relate to. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Varela Vipers who were credited with the win on Thursday. The Varela Vipers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the North Miami Pioneers' one. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vipers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

North Miami's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-2. As for Varela, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Varela beat North Miami by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
