Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Takes a Loss

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Ellington Whippets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Jays of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-15, 25-6.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Ellington, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Viburnum will take on South Iron at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellington, they will venture away from home to face off against Doniphan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
