Volleyball Game Preview: Nordonia Knights vs. Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees

The Nordonia Knights will challenge the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Nordonia came up short against Wooster and fell 3-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Nordonia had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Nordonia's defeat came about despite a quality game from Avery Palinkas, who had 20 assists and two aces. Palinkas has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more assists the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleah Sopata, who had eight digs.

Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Highland by a score of 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-8.

Nordonia's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Nordonia came out on top in a nail-biter against Brecksville-Broadview Heights when the teams last played back in August, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bees turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
