Heath took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Zanesville Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Heath was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-9.
Leading Heath to victory were Adrianne Pethtel and Emma Moore. Pethtel had four digs and four aces, while Moore had 13 assists and two aces. Those 13 assists gave Moore a new career-high.
They weren't the only good server: Heath was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zanesville only served three aces.
Zanesville's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
