Sparkman has no trouble against Oakwood Academy

The Sparkman Senators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 79-58 margin over Oakwood Academy. The win was some much needed relief for Sparkman as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Oakwood Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jadon Williams dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Lee, who scored 12 points.

Sparkman's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Oakwood Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sparkman will square off against Huntsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Huntsville is coming into the match hot, having won their last 18 games. Oakwood Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Valley Head at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Valley Head is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
