Baseball Recap: Marinette Falls to Oshkosh North in First Game of Season

Marinette unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Oshkosh North Spartans on Thursday, falling 11-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Marines have suffered since May 6, 2024.

Sawyer Walters made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marinette will welcome Sturgeon Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oshkosh North, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Winneconne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
