Volleyball Game Preview: Animo Robinson Monarchs vs. Bernstein Dragons

The Animo Robinson Monarchs will head out on the road to challenge the Bernstein Dragons at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Animo Robinson is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 25th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to New Designs University Park.

While Animo Robinson was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Bernstein can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Roybal with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bernstein took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-14.

Bernstein now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Animo Robinson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Animo Robinson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Bernstein in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Monarchs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
