Football Recap: St. Clair County Fighting Saints vs. Boaz Pirates
Monday just wasn't the day for St. Clair County's offense. They came up short against the Boaz Pirates on Monday, falling 26-0. The Fighting Saints lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 47-0 score last time.
Boaz can attribute much of their success to Grier Maples, who threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a rushing score. Peyton Hall helped Maples out on the ground, rushing for 15 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown.
St. Clair County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Boaz, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.
As of now, neither St. Clair County nor Boaz have any future games scheduled.
